Man killed in Desert Hot Springs, homicide investigation underway
A man was killed Tuesday night in Desert Hot Springs and a homicide investigation is underway.
On Tuesday at 10 p.m., DHSPD officers responded to the 66200 block of Estrella Avenue for a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, they located a victim who was treated on scene by Cal Fire paramedics.
Before the victim was able to be transported to an area hospital, he succumbed to his injuries.
The identity of the victim will not be released until next of kin is notified.
DHSPD released information about the investigation Thursday morning.
