Deputies investigating possible deadly shooting in Anza

The Riverside County Sheriff's Department is investigating a possible shooting that left a man dead in Anza Wednesday morning.

According to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, deputies first received reports of a shooting at approximately 11:55 a.m. on the 39400 block of Cary Road, just north of SR-371.

Deputies confirmed they found a man dead at the scene. The Sheriff's Department has not specified whether the man had gunshot wounds.

The victim's identity has not been publicly released by the coroner's office at this time.

The Sheriff's Department confirmed that a suspect, identified only as an adult male, has been taken into custody. Investigators remain at the scene.
