Madison Weil
KESQ

Madison Weil joined the KESQ News Channel 3 and CBS Local 2 News Team in June 2018. She graduated from USC Annenberg in May 2017 with her Master’s degree in digital and broadcast journalism and from UCLA in 2016 with degrees in Global Studies and Anthropology.

Before coming to the beautiful Coachella Valley, Madison spent a year in New York City at ABC News, producing across digital platforms and working on the broadcast show, Nightline. As a true California girl, however, she is thrilled to be back home reporting in sunny SoCal.

Madison’s passion for journalism blossomed during college, where she worked for The Generation: UCLA’s Foreign Affairs Magazine and interned for CBS 8 in San Diego. At USC, she worked as an anchor and reporter for Annenberg TV News, alongside KESQ’s Jake Ingrassia. There, she reported from the homes of refugee families and the streets of Skid Row. Additionally, her coverage of the global fight against terrorism earned her the privilege of speaking at both the U.S. State Department in D.C. and the European Union headquarters in Brussels, Belgium.

In her free time, Madison enjoys traveling, being outside and trying new things. She loves that her job allows her to learn something new every day.
