A Gradual Cool-Down Underway

Temperatures are slowly heading in the right direction, getting closer to seasonal norms. Despite that, we are still under an Excessive Heat Warning until 7 p.m. today.

As was the case most of the week, high pressure continues to trap Ozone at the surface, pushing our AQI into the "Moderate" range today, which is actually an improvement. We should see better AQI numbers going into the weekend.

High pressure moves East, low pressure moves in from the Coast, and that will give us breezy conditions tonight, and better temperatures tomorrow.

In fact as we move through the weekend into next week, highs remain a great deal closer to the seasonal norm of 97.
