Gusty today; warmer tomorrow

Santa Ana winds were felt across the Southland this Wednesday with wind gusts around the Coachella Valley averaging 30-40 MPH.

Still breezy into Thursday morning but gusts will not be as strong as what was felt today.

The winds will weaken into Thursday afternoon and temperatures will being a warming trend yet again as a ridge of high pressure builds over the west coast.

Afternoon highs will climb near 80° by Friday, finishing January with above-normal temperatures. February will start off almost 15° above-normal but a significant cool-down will take place on Monday.
