Feeling cooler this weekend

Palm Springs on Friday reached a high temperature of 106°. The average temperature for this time of year is 97°. For Saturday, temperatures will be closer to seasonal.

An area of low pressure to the north will keep us on the cool side for today before temperatures begin to warm up again next week.

Winds will be gusty today for the mountains and desert. Winds will be from the west/northwest. Winds ranging from 25-35 mph with gusts from 45-50 mph, especially for more wind prone locations.

Temperatures will slowly warm up heading into Sunday with a bit more cloud cover moving in as well.

The second try to launch for SpaceX and NASA is set to happen today at 12:22 p.m. PT.
