Notah Begay III is playing in this week's Galleri Classic in Rancho Mirage, but on Tuesday, the professional golfer was giving back to the local community.

Twenty-Nine Palms Band of Mission Indians, Spotlight 29 Casino and Begay III teamed up to put on the 2nd annual youth clinic at Coachella Crossroads.

The clinic focused on the fundamentals of golf and was open to children under the age of 18 who are a part of a federally recognized Tribe in Southern California.

Begay III is a philanthropist and member of the Navajo/San Felipe & Isleta Pueblo people.

The 52-year-old shared some golf lessons but also offered life advice, encouraging kids to chase their dreams and become positive members of society.

The clinic was made possible with assistance from First Tee Coachella Valley.
