Above average temps linger, changes arrive later this week

Highs will again top out in the lower 90s, but big changes will usher in much cooler temps along with gusty winds, rain and mountain snow! Today will be a warm and pleasant afternoon for Veterans Day celebrations across the Valley.

Temperatures remain well above average through tomorrow, before a significant storms moves in.

By Wednesday, moisture begins to push in from the Northwest as a series of Pacific storms drop in from the Gulf of Alaska.

Late Thursday into Friday, atmospheric moisture increases significantly, with rain and the possibility of thunderstorms across the region, including here on the Valley floor Thursday night into Friday.

The rainfall totals could reach anywhere from 0.50" to nearly 1.00" by Saturday morning, with more rain possible early next week.

Remember to pack some sunscreen and extra water today as we celebrate our Veterans. Later this week, you'll be looking for your raincoat and sweaters!
