Firefighters battle blaze at home in Cathedral City

CATHEDRAL CITY, Calif. (KESQ) -Cathedral City Firefighters are battling a blaze at a home on Cathedral Canyon Drive.

According to crews on scene, they got a call of smoke and flames coming from a home on the 32-900 block of Cathedral Canyon Drive, South of Ramon Road.

No word yet on what caused the blaze which sparked up just before 11:30 Friday morning. Firefighters say there are no injuries and residents that were home at the time of the blaze exited safely.

Traffic is limited, as one lane of Cathedral Canyon has been closed for crews to work the incident.
