Heat builds again today, peaking this afternoon

High pressure remains the primary factor in our forecast with temps well into the 90s again this afternoon.

Highs today will reach 97, the hottest temp of the week, before slowly dropping by early next week. If you've got a hike planned, get it in EARLY in the day.

Wind speeds are light and will remain light through the weekend, with some breeziness showing up Monday.

Some modest cooling arrives Sunday, but more significant cooling kicks in on Monday.

Next week brings temps into the lower and middle 80s, so much more comfortable.
