Authorities are continuing to call on the public for help in locating a 47-year-old woman missing in the Morongo Basin area since July 22.

Fang Jin flew into Los Angeles from China on July 14, the Morongo Basin Sheriff's Department said.

According to the agency, Jin took a train from LA to the Palm Springs area. She was then picked up by a male subject who was supposed to show her around the Morongo Basin area.

Jin was last heard from by her friend on July 22 via telephone, authorities confirmed.

She was supposed to camp in an unknown area in the Morongo Basin.

Fang Jin is described as:

  • 5 feet, 4 inches tall
  • Weighing about 110 pounds
  • Black hair
  • Brown eyes
