Arizona man injured in Desert Center crash

An Arizona man suffered major injuries after a crash in Desert Center on Tuesday morning.

California Highway Patrol officials say it happened just after 8 a.m. on the westbound side of the I-10 near Highway 177.

The driver, 22-year-old Turner Kallen of Gilbert Arizona, who was driving his 2014 Dodge Ram 1500, traveled into the center divider and overturned, which resulted in his ejection.

Kallen was not wearing a seatbelt and was flown to Desert Regional Medical Center to treat major injuries, according to California Highway Patrol Officer Mike Radford.

Alcohol and drugs are not suspected in the crash, according to Radford.
