San Diego man receiving mental health evaluation after threat to Coachella Fest

A San Diego man is receiving a mental health evaluation after he posted on Twitter Wednesday morning threatening next year’s Coachella Music and Arts Festival.

24-year-old Nick Braun posted an image on his Twitter page standing in front of a San Diego gun shop. In the post, Braun wrote, “waiting for the shop to open so I can buy that new uzi for Coachella 2018.”

The gun mart tweeted out hours later saying “SDSO hauling your butt to jail.”

The San Diego Sheriffs Department ruled that the post was not a crime but a mental health issue.

Braun has tweeted threatening music festivals and others before, his twitter account has now been suspended.
