3 students sent to hospital after unknown odor at Shadow Hills High School

Emergency crews are responding to an incident at Shadow Hills High School.

Cal Fire dispatched a Hazmat crew and other emergency personnel shortly before 12:30 p.m. due to an unknown odor causing several students to report being ill.

All students and faculty were evacuated to the school football stadium while emergency crews investigate.

Cal Fire reports a total of five patients and three students were taken to the hospital for evaluations.

Parents/guardians will be able pick up their children at Desert Ridge Academy, according to Mary Perry, Spokesperson for Desert Sands Unified School District. Identification is required.

Walking and self-driving students will be accommodated.
