Indio Police Department introduce Social Media Team

The Indio Police Department introduced their Social Media Team at a news conference on Friday morning.

IPD was one of 15 law enforcement agencies across the nation that was selected to participate in former President Obama’s 21st Century Policing Initiative.

Indio Mayor Elaine Holmes, along with Indio Police Chief Mike Washburn and PIO Sgt. Dan Marshall presented the team.

The IPD Social Media Team is composed of patrol/PIO sergeant, a patrol officer, a school resource officer, two major crimes unit detectives, a street crimes unit detective, a crime analyst, a dispatcher, an office assistant and a Citizen Helping Indio Police Volunteer (CHIP).
