3 sent to hospital after crash in Palm Springs

A two-car collision in Palm Springs sent three people in the hospital on Monday morning.

The incident happened shortly before 10 a.m. on Sunrise north of Alejo Drive, when a driver of a white SUV pulled over after witnessing a dog being by a car.

After taking care of the dog who perished, the driver went back to his car to leave, that is when the SUV was rear ended by a beige sedan.

A man and two children were inside that sedan, and they were all transported to the hospital. No word on the extent of their injuries.

The driver of the SUV was not hurt.

Authorities closed off the roadway, but reopened it at 10:44 a.m.
