Student Athlete of the Week – Spencer Lowell

The La Quinta standout is the reigning league MVP in the DVL and looking to capture a CIF championship in his senior season.

At all times in the water you got to look out for Spencer Lowell. You can try to double team him but this senior will find a way to make his say.

“Just goes all out in everything he does, that’s just his nature.” Head Coach Calvin Lowell said.

First team ALL CIF and league MVP while on pace to leading his team to 3-conference titles but you will never hear him say he’s the best.

“The best in this program? You can say that but I personally won’t believe it.” Spencer Lowell said.

He won’t argue how good this Blackhawks team is shaping up to be.

“This is one of the best boys teams I have ever had.” Coach Lowell said.

“I haven’t heard that yet but it makes me a little excited. For him to say that it is an honor, I am grateful for it, and I agree.” The student athlete of the week added.

A special Blackhawks team led by not just special talent, but in and out of the water a special person. With every stroke making his coach and father proud.

“I am proud mostly that he is such a good young man that cares about other people.” Coach Lowell said of his son Spencer.

Instead of college trips it is going to be mission trips for Spencer. Two years of serving his church will await, but for now it is about helping the team continue to achieve for years to come.

“As long as I keep working hard my team will, that will work out for the younger generation coming up. They see us working hard, having success, they will be hungry for it.” Lowell finished.

This team is hungry for a run at CIF.
