Coachella man arrested for possessing drugs, guns
A 27-year-old man was arrested Friday for possession of drugs and weapons after authorities served a search warrant at a home in Coachella.
Deputies with Coachella Valley Narcotics Task Force along with the Coachella Police Department served a narcotics related search warrant at a residence located in the 84400 block of N. Sienna Circle.

Jose De Jesus Herrera-Gutierrez, of Coachella, was arrested for possession of heroin for sales, and possession of a controlled substance while armed. Herrera-Gutierrez will be booked into the Riverside County jail in Indio.
Authorities confiscated around 100 grams of suspected heroin, one shotgun, one rifle, two assault rifles and an undisclosed amount of money. Narcotics located at this location exceeded an approximate street value of $8,000.
A 4-year-old child was located inside of the residence and Child Protective Services and Drug Endangered Children unit were contacted to conduct their investigation.
