Crews contain Desert Hot Springs mobile home park fire

Firefighters quickly contained a blaze that broke out inside a home at a Desert Hot Springs mobile home park Wednesday.

The non-injury fire was reported at 4:36 a.m. at the Desert Hot Springs Mobile Home Park in the 66000 block of 5th Street.

The blaze, which caused an estimated $5,000 in damage, was contained to one home at the park, said April Newman of the Riverside County Fire Department.

More than a dozen firefighters responded to the scene and contained the fire by 4:50 a.m., she said.
