Woman arrested in Beaumount road rage incident
California Highway Patrol were investigating a road rage incident Thursday morning.
Authorities said the incident stemmed from an altercation between two parties, a family of five in a black SUV heading to Disneyland and a woman in another vehicle. It happened around 8 a.m. as they were both traveling down County Lands Road Highway 79 near Gilman Springs.
According to the family, the woman fired a gun at their SUV. Authorities conducted their investigation at the ampm on 1st Street and Beaumont Ave.
The man inside the black SUV relayed the alleged shooter’s license plate to authorities,
who later caught up with the woman — described as being from Perris — on the westbound 60 freeway, near Day Street in Moreno Valley.
A gun was recovered during her arrest and investigators also found an expended pistol slug near the scene of the shooting.
Both cars involved were impounded for evidence into the investigation. No one was injured in the shooting.
