Alcohol Awareness Month shines light on alcohol use and misuse

RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. (KESQ) - April is Alcohol Awareness Month, a time to shine light on alcohol use and misuse. Researchers say that each year there are more than 178,000 alcohol-related deaths, making alcohol a leading preventable cause of death here in the US.

News Channel 3's Peter Daut spoke with the director of operations for the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, Joanne Haas.
