Blythe area couple accused of murdering disabled daughter
A Blythe area woman and her husband were behind bars Thursday morning accused of killing her 18-year-old mentally disabled daughter.
Riverside County Sheriffs Deputies from Blythe Station responded to an unattended death last Saturday at a Mesa Verde home on Palowalla Drive.
Deputies said they found the body of Kaylina Anderson, 18, inside the home.
Anderson was known to suffer from severe mental disabilities, which required full-time care.
The Sheriff’s Homicide Unit took over the case, due to Anderson’s diminished physical appearance and substandard living conditions observed by deputies.
On Wednesday, deputies booked Anderson’s mother, Jill Williams, 35, and her step-father Steven Williams, 40, on suspicion of murder.
They’re each being held on $1 million bail and expected to appear in court Friday morning in Blythe.
Three children in the home, all 6-years of age and under, were taken into the care of Riverside County Child Protective Services.
