Palm Desert Man Faces Child Porn Charges

PALM DESERT -A Palm Desert man is behind bars todayaccused of having child porn on his computer.

Police say 60-year-old Byran Kaul went to take his computer in for repair at a shop last night around6pm.

The technician says he found the pornography while repairing his computer. That discovery led to two search warrants, which police used to search Kaul’s home on Acacia Street in Palm Desert, and a second home on Sea Breeze Drive in the unincorporated area of North Shore. There, police say they found evidence, though they’re not saying what type.

Kaul faces charges of child pornography. He posted $5000 bail, this morning, and was released.
