Indio Murder Victim Identified

INDIO -A 20-year-old man who was fatally shot on an Indio roadway was identified today.

Carlos Roman Garcia was found on John Nobles Avenue east of Monroe Street around 2:45 p.m. Monday, according to the Riverside County coroner’s office.

Garcia suffered at least one gunshot wound.

Police were still searching four men, including one who had a handgun, who were seen running east on John Nobles Avenue following the shooting, said Ben Guitron of the Indio Police Department.

Guitron said police do not have a motive.
