Car Hits Fire Hydrant; People Inside Run Off

PALM SPRINGS – Police say they’re curious to find the people that were inside the car that hit a fire hydrant in the city’s Mountain Gate community, this afternoon.

Just before 2pm, the car flipped upside down into a ditch, which quickly filled with gushing water from the hydrant.

Palm Springs Police say witnesses reported seeing 3 people possible teenagersrunning from the wreckage.

Theyhave not been able to contact the registered owner to find out if the car was stolen.
