Cathedral City Man Arrested For Sexually Assaulting A Child, Child Porn

Cathedral City police arrested a man on Tuesday for possession child pornography and sexually assaulting a child under 14 years old.

Detectives served a search warrant at the home of Anthony Davis, 52, on the 34900 block of Eagle Canyon Drive at 1 p.m.

Inside, they said they found two assault weapons and “scores” of CDs and DVDs that contained possible child pornography. The victims ranged in age from at least 2 years old up to possibly 14 years old.

The warrant was part of an on-going investigation involving the Cathedral City Police Department into a sexual assault on a child.

Police said based on the evidence they seized, there may be more victims. They’re asking anyone with more information to come forward.

Davis was booked in the Indio Jail on Tuesday evening.
