Martha’s Village And Kitchen Needs Turkeys For Thanksgiving

Every year Martha’s Village & Kitchen serves special holiday meals on Thanksgiving and Christmas Days. Hundreds of less fortunate families come from around the Coachella Valley by bus, car, or on foot, to enjoy a hot holiday meal. There will be turkey, salad, stuffing, potatoes, vegetables, milk and dessert. Without this meal service, these families would go without a special meal on Thanksgiving.

To serve over 1,000 turkey dinners on Thanksgiving Day, Martha’s Village & Kitchen needs 250 frozen turkeys immediately. Holiday food items such as boxes of mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, canned fruits, canned vegetables (pumpkin, yams), cranberry sauce, canned ham, dry goods (pasta, beans, brown rice, and other grains), soups, dessert mix and pies are needed as well. In order to be ready by November 25, the kitchen staff and volunteers at Martha’s Village & Kitchen must start food preparation next week.

Please take the frozen turkeys or the holiday food items directly to: Martha’s Village & Kitchen, 83791 Date Ave., Indio, CA 92201
