Police Nab Suspected Bank Robbers Outside Bank
Palm Desert police confirm they detained a man and a woman in connection with a bank hold-up that happened moments before police arrived.
The hold-up alarm was triggered at around 2 p.m. on Thursday, said police spokesman Angel Ramos.
When police arrived at the branch, located at the corner of Highway 111 and Monterey Avenue, they saw a Hispanic woman come out of the bank. An officer quickly detained her, Ramos said.
A white male was also found outside the building waiting in a car. He was also detained by officers.
The bank was shut down while investigators comb area for evidence that could link the pair to the crime, Ramos said.
No one was injured.
