Riverside County sheriff’s look for attacker in stabbing death of two women

Deputies are searching for the young killer of two women who were stabbed to death in a rural Southern California community.

Riverside County sheriff’s investigators say deputies found the wounded women after responding to a call Monday evening in the unincorporated Nuevo area east of Perris.

Witnesses told deputies an 18- to 20-year-old man in dark clothing ran away after the attack. He has eluded capture.

Sgt. Jim Erickson says one of the women was dead at the scene and the other died at a hospital.

The names of the victims are being withheld and there are no other details.
