Little Free Library in Palm Springs

A Palm Springs neighborhood is celebrating reading and a sense of community, with a new library.
The “Little Free Library” on Broadmoore Street has been open since December.
Eventhough it only holds about 30 books, the neighbors who built it hope it has a big impact.
People can feel free to take a book or donate a book, anytime.
It’s the first one of its kind in the Coachella Valley, but there are Little Free Libraries worldwide and neighbors hope it catches on around the desert.
Pat Evers decided to have the library in her front yard and she hopes it catches on. She says, “Oh, I do! Because it makes such a difference in the neighborhood. The chance to stop and talk, the chance to stop and read, and stop!”
