Assault and robbery suspect arrested in Cathedral City

Police arrested Clarence Davis, Jr. Wednesday on charges of assault with a deadly weapon, kidnapping, armed robbery and domestic violence.

Yesterday, February 19th, Palm Desert Police responded to a domestic disturbance call near Pierson Boulevard, just outside of Desert Hot Springs, where a pregnant woman reported that her ex-husband, Davis, had driven her to a remote area of the desert where he pointed a gun at her. Hereportedlythreatened to harm her and her children if she did not give him money. She said Davis then drove her to various locations in Desert Hot Springs where he receivedthe money that she reported stolen, an undisclosed amount.

After Davis was identified, a searchwarrantwas obtained for his home in Cathedral City. The Palm Springs/Cathedral City SWAT team performed the search today, February 20th. They discovered two firearms which were taken in as evidence.
