Man arrested for homicide in Thousand Palms assault

A man has been arrested and charged with homicide in connection to a deadly assault in Thousand Palms that occurred on Tuesday, June 3.

Victoria Supola, 56, was assaulted in her home in the 73000 block of Pacheta Square. Deputies found her suffering from traumatic injuries around 11 a.m.

They said she was taken to the hospital but died from her injuries later that afternoon.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department identified Juan Sanchez Inzunza as a suspect early in the investigation. Deputies with the Palm Desert Station arrested him on June 11, according to a release.

Inzunza was booked into the Riverside County Jail in Indio on homicide charges.

The sheriff’s department hasn’t released any other details regarding the investigation or the suspect. Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call Investigator Freeman at (760) 393-3530.
