Roads in Palm Springs reopen after president’s departure

Roads in Palm Springs that were closed due to the president’s visit were reopened Monday afternoon after the commander in chief departed for Washington, D.C. aboard Air Force One with his wife Michelle.

At 12:20 p.m., Kirk Douglas Way between Ramon Road and El Cielo Road was back open.

Airport Center Drive between Avenue Evelita and El Placer Road was also reopened.
