Dodgers Clayton Kershaw Throws No-Hitter

It wasn’t a perfect game, but it sure was close. Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw threw the first no-hitter of his career on Wednesday night against the Rockies striking out a career high 15 batters. The only blemish in the game was a throwing error by shortstop Hanley Ramirez in the 7th inning of the Dodgers 8-0 win over the Rockies.

Kershaw’s gem gave the Dodgers the only two no-hitters in the majors this season, Josh Beckett threw one against the Phillies on May 25th. This is the 22nd no-hitter in Dodgers history and the first at home since Ramon Martinez did it in July of 1995.
