Saints win first DVL water polo title, Chiefs win, COD falls

Xavier Prep climbed the tall ladder of defeating the “big boys” of the DVL in boys water polo. The Saints culminated their four-year journey with a 12-10 victory over Palm Desert to claim their first DVL boys water polo championship.

In football, the Desert Chiefs beat Moreno Valley for the second time this season, a 14-6 nailbiter in the Pacific Coast Football Conference playoff semifinals. Desert will face the Central Coast Seminoles on November 8th at 7:30pm in Moreno Valley.

College of the Desert had their two-game winning streak snapped by the Southwestern Jaguars. Desert fell in a 34-0 hole and trailed 34-3 at the half. The Roadrunners rallied, but fell short, losing 41-33.

In high school football, Desert Hot Springs went to Big Bear and took a hit to their playoff hopes. The Bears beat the Golden Eagles 28-17.
