Turkey bowl draws good sportsmanship between police and teens in Indio
It seems to go hand and hand with the Thanksgiving holiday…good food, good family, good friends and good football.
That was certainly the case yesterday in Indio for the annual Turkey Bowl.
Indio police officers kicked off against teens from the Indio Teen Center in a spirited game of pigskin.
Organizers say the event is all about having fun and opening the lines of communication between law enforcement and the youth.
Bragging rights of course were on the line, too.
This year’s winner, the Indio Teen Center, walked away with the golden turkey trophy.
