Man suspected of killling brother in Lucerne Valley

A Lucerne Valley man was arrested on Thursday on suspicion of murdering his brother whom he lived with.

Deputies said they were called to a home on the 33200 block of Crescent Road just before 6 a.m. on Thursday. That’s where they found the body of 54-year-old Alvin Earl Hanner, who they said had suffered significant physical trauma.

Detectives with the sheriff’s Homicide Detail were brought in to handle the investigation. They determined the victim’s brother, 60-year-old Leroy Jerome Franks, assaulted Hanner inside the home they share.
