Man in jail for alleged kidnapping and assault with a deadly weapon
An Indio man is in jail for an alleged kidnapping dating back to July 2014 and for an assault with a deadly weapon investigation on September 18.
The Coachella Valley Gang Task Force served a search warrant in the 49-100 block of Summer Street in Coachella Thursday morning.
They recovered a handgun and arrested 30-year-old Marcos Cano.
Police said Cano had an active warrant for a kidnapping case on July 17, 2014 in Palm Springs.
He was transported to the Riverside County Jail in Indio and was booked for assault with a deadly weapon and felony kidnapping warrant.
