Six arrested in marijuana sting

Six people are behind bars after San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department seized over 350 marijuana plants from the suspects homes.

Sheriff deputies served two search warrants in the communities of Landers and Twentynine Palms.

The locations were not related to each other.

San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department reports the large amount of marijuana seized at each location suggests the suspects had no intention of abiding by California’s medical marijuana laws and were strictly for-profit operations.

Many of the suspects were using fake medical marijuana recommendations to make it look like the operations were legitimate.

At this time, it is unknown where the marijuana was being taken to, but it is believed that it would have been sold illegally on the street.
