Palm Springs Police Still Searching for Armed Subject

The Hispanic male suspect has been apprehended by the Palm Springs Police Department. They are still looking for the black male suspect.

Palm Springs Police have given up the search for two armed subjects after a two hour search in the area of Summit Drive and Mission Peak.

Police had issued an emergency message to the neighborhood to warn residents. The suspects are believed to be involved in “an incident” in Desert Hot Springs. We are working to find out what happened.

Palm Springs Police are searching for two armed men after they ran following a short chase. Police are concentrating the search in the area of Summit Drive and Mission Peak. The incident happened just before 10:30 Monday morning.

A Motor Officer tried to make a traffic stop on North Indian Canyon just North of Tramview Road. The car was traveling at 100 miles per hour, and did not stop. A short chase took place until the subjects stopped the car on the 500 block of West Avenida Cerca and ran in the direction of Summit Drive and Mission Peak.

These subjects are believed to be armed. Please call police if you see anything that could help.

Palm Springs Police describes the subjects as

#1 Hispanic Male Adult, Age-20s, w/ Curly dark hair, no shirt, and blue basketball shorts.

#2 Black Male Adult, Age- 20s, black sweatshirt and shorts
