Varner and Date Palm are back open after a gas line issue forced their closure.

Cathedral City firefighters are working on shutting down a high pressure gas line that’s causing major problems along Varner and Date Palm Drive. It was first reported around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

California Highway Patrol is assisting with the possible closure of the on and off-ramps of the I-10 at Date Palm/Vista Chino.

Varner Road is shut down in both directions at Date Palm.
