Police serve narcotics-related search warrant in Oasis

The Riverside County Sheriffs Deparment said it served a narcotics-related search warrant Wednesday morning at a location in the unincorporated community of Oasis.

A Sheriffs Department spokesman, Deputy Armando Munoz said, “early this morning the Coachella Valley Narcotics Task Force with assistance from the Riverside County Sheriffs Department SWAT Team served a narcotics-related search warrant.”

Munoz offered no word on any arrests.

The operation wasin the area of Avenue 76 and Pierce Street.

A KESQ News Channel 3 viewer reported seeing a large number of sheriffs patrol vehicles, vans and armored vehicles in the same area.
