Two hikers rescued from Bump & Grind Trail in Palm Desert

A couple of hikers got themselves stuck in a rocky situation on the Bump & Grind Trail in Palm Desert Saturday night.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department told us at least two hikers went off trail and couldn’t get back down the mountain. They used their cell phones to call for help around 8 p.m.

A helicopter spotted the hikers from above and shortly after county search and rescue teams trekked up the trail to help guide the hikers down safely.

The sheriff’s department said the hikers seemed to be uninjured.
