Virginia man sentenced for his role in Desert Hot Springs child porn ring

One of the men accused of operating a child sex ring in Desert Hot Springs has been found guilty and sentenced in Virginia.

Longtime youth baseball coach Noland Anthony Harper was sentenced to 24 years behind bars on Friday, for his role in that child sex ring that brought him across state lines to Desert Hot Springs. He pleaded guilty to charges on July 16th.

61-year-old Harper tells investigators he started collecting child pornography after he stopped coaching children around 2005. “In 2014, Harper traveled from Richmond to Desert Hot Springs, on three separate occasions. During his trips to California, Harper regularly met up with the three minor boys, all of whom were under 16-years-old, including two boys who were 11-years-old,” according to court documents.

“Harper would sexually abuse the boys, both at the home of a co-conspirator and during multi-day road trips to, among other places, the beach and Disneyland.”

Harper and his co-conspirators John David Yoder, Erick Monsivais and William Thompson allegedly gave the children cash and gifts in exchange for their involvement in the explicit photo shoots

A grand jury indicted 43-year-old John David Yoder in April. Yoder is accused of recruiting young boys from local parks in Desert Hot Springs — with promises of modeling work. The boys admitted to knowing three other child porn ring suspects — William Thompson — Erick Monsivais and Harper.

The boys say they *modeled* for the men and claimed Monsivais, Thompson and Harper would molest them.

We reached out to the Riverside County District Attorney’s office to see if Harper will also be charged in the valley, but due to the holiday, they are closed. Both Yoder and Mosivais remain behind bars awaiting their trial to begin in Riverside County. Thompson is facing charges in Las Vegas.
