Former MLB player Coco Crisp named new head baseball coach at Shadow Hills
Former Major League Baseball player Coco Crisp has accepted the head coaching position for Shadow Hills high school baseball.
In a phone conversation with Sports Director Blake Arthur on Tuesday, Crisp said “I was very happy to get that call. This program can be built up. It has nice facilities. The people here are knowledgeable about athletics and genuine people. Put those all together and it was an easy yes for me and I think it’s going to be a great fit for me. Hopefully we can build this into something special for these young kids coming through.”
Shipley also commented to our sports department, saying “we’re real excited. We’re getting a lot of attention right now. He’s a big name and has a lot of knowledge in the sport of baseball and I think it’s going to be great for our kids.”
