Suspected robbers arrested in Indio

Three suspected armed robbers were arrested Saturday night in Indio.

The arrest came more than 7 hours after one of them allegedly robbed a Subway restaurant on the 43-400 block of Monroe Street around 11:11 a.m.
According to police, the suspect covered himself with a grey bandana and demanded money from the store clerk by using using a sawed off shotgun.

The suspect took off in a black Toyota Corolla with two other males in the getaway vehicle.

Police spotted the car on Sagebrush Street and Mountain View Street around 6:45 p.m. Officers stopped the vehicle and arrested the three males inside.

Sergio Dominguez, 18, of Indio was arrested on conspiracy to commit a robbery and possession of stolen property. He was taken to the Riverside County Sheriffs jail in Indio. Two other juveniles in the vehicle were arrested for robbery, conspiracy to commit a robbery and possession of stolen property. They were booked into Riverside County Juvenile Hall.
