Investigators say on July 14,a man and two women entered the women’s boutiques, Palm Springs Treasures and Oh La La and stole employees’ credit cards. Both businesses are located on Palm Canyon Drive.

At Palm Springs Treasures, the manager also discovered his car had been stolen.

“A lot of customers were in the store. We became distracted by a three-some that distractedeverybody,” said Lonny Whittington. “At that point, they stole some credit cards out of a purse and then stole the keys to my car out in the back. “Of course we didn’t discover ’till later that the car was gone.”

The car was recovered in El Monte on July 28.

Police say the thieves may also be involved in a burglary on July 18 at Just Nails, also located on Palm Canyon Drive.
