Reward offered for stolen tortoises

A reward is being offered for any information leading to the capture of the people who stole more than a dozen tortoises from a Palm Springs nursery this weekend.

14 tortoises and a turtle were taken Sunday morning form the Moorten Botanical Gardens on South Palm Canyon Drive in Palm Springs.

Some of the reptiles are 40 years old and weigh up to 35 pounds.

Neighbors are also stepping in helping to boost a reward to 27-hundred dollars.
