Palm Desert dental office offers money for Halloween candy

Shadow Hills Dental Care is one of more than 1,000 dentists across the country offering money to children in exchange for Halloween candy.

Children can bring their Halloween candy to the Palm Desert office between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday and get $1 per every pound of candy.

All of the candy the office receives will be sent to troops overseas via operation Candy Buy Back.

The Halloween Candy Buy-Back program encourages dentists to provide incentives and “buy back” the candy from patients.
