Detectives search for missing man

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department is asking for your help in locating a missing man who hasn’t been heard from since Sunday, November 2.

Landers resident William Charles Starr, a 65-year-old Native American, left his home around 3 p.m. in a gold, 1986 Mercedes Benz 300E, according to detectives.

His California license plate is No. 2CYL999.

Starr suffers from early-stage Alzheimer’s and has a pacemaker. The sheriff’s department said he hasn’t returned home and hasn’t contacted family or friends to notify them of his whereabouts.

He’s described as 5’06, 180 lbs. with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a black T-shirt, a green jacket, and a white and green baseball hat.

If you’ve recently seen Starr or know his current whereabouts, you’re asked to call Detective Heidi Hague at 760-366-4175.
